Since ever Egypt has been famous for textile industries and developing them as the writing fabrics gained big fame in the Pharaoh Age. The fabrics and clothes were among the presents exchanged between the Egyptian Pharaohs and the old world kings due to their elegance and best quality. The ancient Egyptians excelled in weaving and dying flax fibers since their early ages.
Due to their importance and high price, the writing fabrics were inherited to descendants. The Egyptian fabrics had gained fame till Ptolemy Age.
Nowadays weaving and textile industry is considered one of the most important and oldest Egyptian industries. It represents a big ratio of the Egyptian exports.
Thousands of workers are employed in this industry and they represent a big percentage of the manpower volume in the Egyptian Market. They are distributed to hundreds of factories ranging from public to private sector to Investment ones which are partially owned by foreigners as per the ceiling of foreign ownership decided by the investment Guarantee Law in Egypt in addition to the family sector and the hundreds of the small individual establishments.
